Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

This weeks recipe is a hearty, stick-to-your-ribs, comfort food, mac and cheese recipe. The beauty of this recipe is that it is a great base that you can add to in whatever way you would like!

Want to add some veggies? Mix in some broccoli or cauliflower

Need a little protein? Try mixing in some buffalo chicken

Looking for something a little bit more fancy? When it’s done cooking, transfer to a baking pan, top with some italian bread crumbs and sliced tomato, and broil for a few minutes

So many ways to modify this tasty comfort-food staple!

Keep in mind, this is NOT your typical set it and forget it crock pot recipe!  Its quick! (for a crock pot recipe)  Definitely a good one for feeding a crowd (think…company coming over and no idea what to serve?!)

Crock Pot Macaroni and Cheese

  • 2 cup al dente, elbow macaroni - cooked or other similar pasta
  • 2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup greek yogurt
  • 4 oz. cream cheese - softened
  • 14 oz. can evaporated milk
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard


  • Spray a large 5-6 quart crock pot with cooking spray (or use a crock pot liner for easier clean up!)
  • In a pot, cook the macaroni according to directions, leaving al dente
    Drain and rinse with cold water. 
    Place the macaroni in the crock pot.
  • Add in the cheeses, yogurt, cream cheese, and seasonings, stirring to combine.
  • Pour the evaporated milk over top the mixture.
  • Cook on low for 2 hours, stirring once half way through.
  • Serve hot
